Sval is a new generation energy company. Our ultimate goal is to develop a sustainable business that has a prosperous long-term future. As an owner of gas infrastructure, we transport gas to millions of homes in Europe, and we are partner in two oil and gas field developments that are partly electrified with very low emissions.

Now we are seeking a new addition to our team to further develop and grow our renewables portfolio. Sval has already begun its exciting journey by investing in the Metsälamminkangas wind farm project in Finland. The ambition is to widen the renewable investment scope and ultimately grow the renewables business into constituting a significant part of the company value.

VP Renewables Business Development

Right now, we are looking for an entrepreneurial person who wants to be a key contributor to our plan to expand our footprint in the renewable domain. The position gives the right person a unique opportunity to help further refine the strategy and make a real impact on the direction for Sval’s further investments, targeting mid-cap sized deals across multi-technologies.

Reporting to the COO, the VP Renewables Business Development role has been outlined as follows:

  • Key contributor in the refinement of Sval’s renewables / decarbonisation strategy

  • Generate pipeline of both commercially robust and less mature, more opportunistic investment opportunities within renewables / decarbonisation

  • Expand and maintain a wide network within the renewable industry and decision makers

  • Contribute to expanding Sval’s in-house competency within renewables and decarbonisation technologies and commercial models through being a part of Sval’s management team

  • Follow the development of renewables / decarbonisation technologies; keep abreast of what is happening in the market and disseminating relevant knowledge within company

  • Follow Norwegian and EU politics related to the ongoing energy transition

  • Ability to hire and lead a team in due course
